Abstract
In this research, an experimental study is presented in order to assess the shear behaviour of rubberized concrete beams containing a mixture of crumb rubber (CR) and recycled coarse aggregate (RCA). The fine aggregate (FA) and the natural coarse aggregate (NCA) were partially replaced with, The CR and RCA respectively. Five distinct concrete mixes were carried out: one normal concrete mix (control mix) and four rubberized concrete mixes containing 10% CR as FA replacement, with four replacement ratios of NCA with RCA (0%, 25%, 50%, and 100%). Five simply supported RC beams were cast and tested (one beam for each mix). According to the experimental findings, the mechanical characteristics of concrete are adversely impacted by the combination of RCA and CR. With increasing CR and RCA contents, the shear capacity, stiffness, and toughness of RC beams combining RCA and CR are decreased. With increasing CR and RCA contents, the shear capacity, stiffness, and toughness of RC beams combining RCA and CR are decreased.
