Abstract
The construction sector has significant issues that have restricted its expansion and resulted in incredibly low production rates when compared to other sectors notably manufacturing. Essentially, the lack of confidence and transparency in the construction business has led to limited cooperation among practitioners. Blockchain technology enables the recording of data in a way that makes it challenging or virtually impossible to modify, corrupt, or mislead. Identifying how blockchain technology could impact the construction sector was the purpose of the paper. For investigating and analysing vast amounts of scientific data, bibliometric analysis is prevalent and exacting technique. From leading scientific databases, this study proposed a science mapping approach. The characteristics and advantages of blockchain as a modern innovation are next given, after which the computing procedures associated are explained. Hence, the primary application categories for blockchain in building were determined and summarized. Ultimately, explain more about opportunities, limitations, and applications that blockchain technology might deliver to the construction sector in the future.
